HUNTERS LODGE HISTORY
Hunters Lodge was opened in 1984 by two of the Directors Peter & Christine Gilbert and at that time was registered for 7 residents, increasing to 9 residents in 1985. In 1991 we converted a stable block and barn to increase our registration to 17 residents. In 2010, with alterations and improvements to the building design, we decided to maintain our occupancy at 16 residents. Claire Gilbert joined the company in 1993 as Manager and later became a Partner in 2000.
In September 2001 Hunters Lodge changed into Hunters Lodge Care and Support Ltd, and three partners became Directors.
A combination of our years of experience, local knowledge and our understanding of "good practice" has inspired us to evolve and adapt to develop a range of services and individual packages of support that have been acknowledged to be cost effective, innovative and creative.
