We understand and appreciate that providing the high standards of quality care we are known for at Hunters Lodge is, in part, down to the staff whom we employ. Our interview and vetting procedure is well established, with interviews, references & criminal record checks being carried out on all staff.

All staff have on going training to ensure that they are able to continually deliver a high standard of care.

This is monitored and evaluated through the use of:

     1. All new staff joining the organisation will work through an effective induction-training programme.
     2. Training and development needs will be identified through appraisals and observations.
     3. All staff undertake mandatory & additional training courses. Staff are to be either qualified or willing to work towards a
         minimum of NVQ/QCF Level 2.

All staff complete mandatory training:

    Food Hygiene
    Health & Safety
    Manual Handling
    First Aid

Additional specific training is also offered:

    Medication Awareness
    Dementia & other conditions
    Mental Capacity Act & DoLs

     4. There is continuous day-to-day observation and feedback of all staff.
     5.   There are 6 monthly appraisal/performance reviews.
